Christmas 2009- West Palm

The holidays were a great time for us.... but it didn't start off so great. The week before Christmas we planned to travel to West Palm to celebrate with Mike's family. Unfortunatly, I got a stomach bug the day before we left. I was feeling a little better 24 hours later so I figured it was food poisoning, so we decided to go and head on down. Probably not such a good idea. Mike woke up sick the next morning (as well as almost everyone we know in Jacksonville) and stayed in bed the whole day. Ugh! He didn't get to spend much quality time with his family, but Tyce & I did, so that was nice. He ended up giving this horrible bug to almost all of his family who had it over Christmas.... Sorry about that. We will have to head back down there sometime soon now that everyone is healthy!

Let the Birthday Festivities Begin....

We are busy getting everything together for Tyce's 1st birthday this weekend. We ordered the food, the cake, and got the helium tank for the balloons. But today is a special day..... it is Mike's Birthday. So Tyce and I wanted to make him some birthday cupcakes for when he gets home tonight. We had a blast. Here is Tyce helping me bake.

We went to watch Gigi dance and cheer her on for her competition showcase on Friday night. Tyce stayed up late and was enjoying the loud music party! I wish I had recorded earlier as he had lots of funny dances.

Last Weekend

Last weekend we made a trip down to West Palm Beach. We had a great time at the pumpkin patch and spending time with family. Here are some pics of our trip.

Less than one month 'til LM is one year old!

Tyce turned 11 months old... yesterday. Here are some of my favorite pictures of him while he was 10 months.

Remembering...

This weekend we attended Walk to Remember. It is an event to remember babies lost because of miscarriage, late term miscarriage, stillbirth, or death prior to one year of life. October is not only Breast Cancer awareness month, but it is also Infant Loss awareness month.

It was a very special day. This group all gathered to love & support each other, and to get to remember the little ones that have been lost early in thier lives.

It is amazing the conflicting emotions it stirred up. Sadness and heartache for all who lost little ones, but especially those lost after they were born and named. How impossibly hard that must be for them each and every day. From this dispair to the completely opposite emotion of hope looking at all the other children running around so full of energy and my personal gratefulness and total love because Tyce was there, my pure joy!

A balloon was release in commemoration of a loss. This was a way to remember the little angels that entered our lives for such a short moment. I want to thank Janine for inviting us to participate in this event.
